This weekend im going to gut my EBPV i need to find out what tool is used to take those star looking bolts off though and i herd you have to put new ones in because the old ones will back off once re tightened but im not sure on that,you wouldn't happen to know what size and type of tool i would need for that would you? and any thing on the new bolt thing? i can get some new ones but i dont see how the old ones wouldn't work

Its a 12pt 8MM socket, nothing special. And i reused the old bolts, not problems. They were tight as ever the other day when i started tearing down my turbo for a rebuild.
Just a tip, use a NPT plug when you plug the actuator hole. And dont use thread tape as it wont hold up to the heat, use the liquid thread locker. I did and no issues with leaks.
