alright so the question I have is what is the difference between a 91 fuel tank sending unit and one for an 80-86 body style. my problem is I swapped everything from a 91 crew donor to my 82 f250. everything works except my fuel gauge, when its full it reads empty and moves slighty towards full after driving a couple days. so any gurus on what my ohm readings should be and if there is a difference resistance wise between a bricknose sender compared to a bullnose. thanks. if you need any other info let me know.
That's because it has different OHM's you need the sender that belongs to what you swapped out/in so if you have the 91 cab you need the 91 sender fuel tank.
That's what I figured, can't find sending units for a bullnose diesel though so I guess ill mod a gasser unit to work for mine, but it can wait till I get my new bed I don't feel like getting super filthy pulling fuel tanks, I will just have to fill up every couple days and make sure I don't run out if diesel
