Hello, I am in need of replacing my tires and was thinking of Michelin LTX M/S. Good choice??? Also, the original tires are 255/70R16. Can I go with bigger tires on these rims?? If so, what size???

I had both LTX M/S and Cross Terrains on my 1999. Even though both sets were the same size (265/70-17), the Cross Terrains looked a little wider. However, I believe that the LTX M/S gave me better wear and snow traction.
I guess that meant that 285/75/16 is the biggest size,,,,,,cool. Hey, buzzard, would you happen to have a pic of your truck so I can see what it looks like. I mean if the wheelwells look better filled. If so, you can e-mail it/them to bigblaze@optonline.net
Thanks,

I wouldn't go any bigger (wider) on the stock 7" rim. With the 285's there's a little buldge, but not too bad. I would be scared of a 305 peeling off. Wheelwells look great with a lot of tire in them....much better than stock. I'll email you a pic tonight (or sometime this weekend) when I get home.
