New solid mass flywheel before turbo install?
My 1989 F250 (7.3L 5 speed 4x4) has the stock dual mass flywheel right now. the inspection plate is actually missing off the tranny so I can fell up in there and can actually feel the springs are loose and probably going to fall/fly out soon. I was going to do the soild mass flywheel conversion soon, but I was also was getting ready to put a stock IDI turbo on the truck.
Should I wait to do the turbo till after I put in the new clutch/flywheel? I dont want the extra power to make a weak flywheel come apart...

Turbo or no turbo you should do the SMF conversion ASAP before it grenades and destroys your ZF tranny. Drive it nice until you get it done. How you drive will have more to do with it holding up than whether you turbo it or not.
