when I bought my 07 F250 6 months ago it had a 5th wheel hitch in the bed already. I don't use it so im wondering is there a market for used 5th wheel hitch or scrap it for metal? Its a Reese 16k qwik slide

Advertise it on Craigslist. There is certainly a market, although like everything RV, the used value is a fraction of what it cost new.
Agreed, you'd probably get the greatest financial benefit (in the long term) if you kept the hitch so it was available when the truck is re-sold in the future. Otherwise use Craigslist as Steve said.
Its a good hitch, but as stated you will only get a fraction of the retail value, and still it was included so its kind of a freebe to you. On the other hand, if you sell it and get 20 bucks, well its kinda like a gal I once knew....she always said that 20 bucks is 20 bucks...

I bought one after purchasing a 5th wheel and buying it used worked out great. I paid 400 bucks for my 16k slider but it had been used only twice and looked brand new.
It did need to purchase the frame brackets and bed rails besides but very happy with it.
I have had it on Craigslist for months at $250. Not one call so wasn't sure if there was a market. Thanks for info guys, I will just keep it on Craig's list
I just picked up a fiver today that came home with us along with a 14k standard hitch I don't need having already had one. It basic, but serviceable and will need the rails and brackets. I am thinking I will let it go cheaply just to get rid of it. Seems like I accumulate so much that just sits in my storage building forever.

Wow!
You obviously aren't in So Cal!
I guess the old supply and demand here.
