Yesterday I received all my order partss. New Delphi Injectors, New return line kit, New ZD9 glow plugs and New GP Relay. Went out to the truck removed old return lines and already have the new ones cut and ready to go back in. (was shorted 2 clamps so need to got to the auto store to get those) Sprayed down injectors and glow plugs with PB Blaster hopefully today after work I will be changing out my parts. Never done this before little nervous and excited the same time. Wish me luck!

Well continue with my day. I got home later from work than expected had one of my service calls go sideways! But got all glow plugs out and changed. Then started on the injectors got 4 of them changed my 5th one didn't have the copper ring on it when it came out so I'm thinking it's still in the motor. Of course it's the one in the back where I can't see down in it. So tomorrow on the way home I'm going to purchase a pick to see if it's still in there. But again they may not of installed one?? That injector looked in bad shape. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow. But so far it's been interesting.

Yesterday I got my stereo and speakers rewired and functioning properly. Also got clearance lights on cab rewired and working. I think PO was "electrically challenged".

Have some thing leaking I checked all my connections and they are dry. SO something else is leaking. Guess I'll look into that tomorrow.

chip truck-

noticed my economy has been falling off for no real apparent reason.finally dawned on me to check my t-case even though i just flushed it not that long ago.
sure enough....burnt atf.need a t-case i guess.least i know what's going on.
funny she feels great going down the road but the economy was nose diving.has been dropping off slowly for a long while.sure hope this is the main issue.

replaced the backup cam with a higher quality cam (same monitor) the cheap one failed and flipped it's mirror image.scary like that lol.plus it was hard to backup to a trailer with it backwards.glad to have this fixed.

greased the dump bed.

back when i bought a walker big truck muffler,i noticed the thing had a vibration right from the start.something just didn't get welded right (the one in log truck is fine) and it got worse and worse.i hate...no.i loath noisy/rattly exhaust.so i just bought another muffler and changed it out (another BTM) and man that's sooo much nicer now too.all quite again.

i had a rattle of the t-case shift lever (the little pin) got bent just enough for the pin to just touch the side of the case and cause a vibration/rattle upon engine load,in OD it went away but annoying before getting up to speed.so anyway i bent that out away so no more rattle there either.

so the last few days iv been looking for oil drips.she's no longer leaving spots when parked.the punched holes in the valley cured that issue.may take another week or two for the already wet oil under there to dry up some more but that's ok.glad its stopped.

the old gal is starting to feel like new all over again.always something.there's always something.

Pulled the old stock torque converter and replaced it with a new Hughes low stall/low slip unit. Feels less mushy off the line and my egt seems to be a little lower while cruising. Hoping to gain a mpg or two from it.

Replaced the trans modulator valve as well. Vacuum line was full of atf so I figured it was time to replace the valve.

chip truck-

washed inside and out.vacuumed and armor all.
inspect and topped up all fluids.
tire pressure check (you can never trust tire shops lol) most needed 5-10 lbs.all up to 80 lbs.
saw instructions for new backup cam online.blue wire is for the grids on screen.so i cut it.that's nicer without those.
drivers inner fender...umm flap? (the big flap up behind the shock) was hanging.little bolt with double washer cured that quick.
replaced relay for fog lights,so those work again.
aluminum door sills.i had bought them from lmc way back but never got around to installing.those look nice.

you've got to hide a key on the truck just in case.

chip truck-

(last night)

replaced the T-case.found one with the PTO.not sure i'll have any use for it,but they claimed it had low miles at the yard.for $150 w/ 30 day warranty and it keeps me action i couldn't go wrong.
now hopefully i'll see the economy go back up where it belongs.these bw 1356 units never seem to last me much more than 100k miles.i do shift in and out of 4 lo and creep around a lot per day.i suppose i must use the t-case,often without even 4wd probably 15-20 times per day id say on average.not sure how or why that would ware 'em out but whatever.cheap and easy enough to replace though so i guess it's ok.
