wheels question?
Can anyone comment on the differences between these wheels?
stock alloy - 2003 Expedition 6x135mm @ 17 in diameter
vs.
SVT alloy - 2012 Raptor 6x135mm @ 17 in diameter
What are the width of these rims? 8 in? 9 in? Any difference in backspacing?
I have 03 Expy with the 265/70/17 tires. Need to replace before snow flies. I'm considering the Raptor wheels and running a 295/70/17. The Raptor wheels I'm considering buying used have the 315/70/17 tires on them. My research tells me they wouldn't fit my Expy without a bit of a lift. Seems several folks have run the 295s without lifts on factory rims. I am very likely to at least add a leveling kit to get rid of the ugly raked stance.
Maybe the Raptor wheel backspacing (if different) would allow the 315s with just a front leveling kit.
