FYI, I too had a Purolator. After I installed it at the recommened torque, It did not seal properly. I had to torque it down even more. It worked for awhile, but started to leak again after a few weeks. Got fed up with it, took it off went back to the OEM cap (saved my original) and bought several filters from DIS to save on shipping cost. I will not use the Purolator again. Hope your's works better than mine did.
