death wobble

Brought my rig to OK4WD in stewartsville NJ, and they found
1.track bar ball joint is worn
2.needs new upper and lower drag link
2.track bar upper bushing is worn

I can understand the ball joint, and bushing, but why the drag link?
Also, they say the trackbar ball joint is only made by Ford, and not greasable.

They installed a bilstein damper few months ago, but obviously didn't do much.
Any suggestions. Truck only has 38,000 miles and tires are worn, and if i have to replace these parts every year, that's very expensive. I only have the truck 14 months.

What were the symptoms?

I have 35k on my truck and I have an intermittent (20-40s interval) vibration coming from the right front that sometimes escalates to body shaking levels. I have newly balanced tires and new Bilsteins, so my next candidates are the bushings.

If you are going to replace the drag link, may as well go with an aftermarket one - it will be similar cost, and will fix the problem permanently.

Example: Ford Super Duty Adjustable Track Bar, Pan Rod Bar
(There are other manufacturers, depending on the height of your vehicle)

Cannot find aftermarket drag link. Who makes?

Sorry, I only linked a track bar.
Something like this:
HD Single Piece Draglink

If its on your dime, I would get the play checked in each of them. Usually the track bar is the most likely culprit.
