Thank you to everyone who answered all my questions regarding the 1991 F350 I was considering buying..
I went and looked at the truck today... and walked away from it.. The guy said 200,000km, the reality is 500,000km and my mechanic said walk away.
The ignition is busted and messed up, the engine has been monkeyed with, the guy hit something hard enough to bend the plate steel front bumper and push the drivers fender back.
The second tank doesn't have a cap, and looks like it hasn't had a cap in some time. The tires "look" good, until you look close and notice that they need to be replaced. The "small" crack in the windshield is right infront of your face.
Like I said. Buy it, keep the bed and front axle, part the rest

He wont budge of $1700. I told him that scrap value on that truck is maybe $800. Because to put another $5k into rebuilding it, it isn't worth it to me to sit on another project. I have enough projects taking up real-estate..
I'm thinking maybe start looking at the Stealerships and see if I can get something worth spending money on.. I'm going to be looking for an older truck, mid to late 90's to max 2006.
I will stay with diesel, and either Ford or Dodge.. I'll never own a "Gimme More Cash" product..
