Screwy Trailer Wiring Harness

Screwy Trailer Wiring Harness
It seems I must have the only Ex in the fleet with an 05-07 Superduty trailer plug!
Everything I could find said to order the 3035-P Tekonsha Harness, but it was not the correct one. I did find a picture of a 3065-P harness for 05-07 Superduty that appears to match up to the 4-prong pattern I have.
I have a very late build date, 08/2005, so I'm guessing my truck was one of the last off the line. Must have received whatever was available at the time of build.
Anyone else come across this issue?
Here's a pic.

Good questions. I have no idea!
I looked up in there pretty good, and couldn't find anything else that was an open plug and could have been a controller port.
It is quite possible the PO spliced something in. But his wiring and finish work look pretty good.
Anyone on the board have an 05-07 Superduty that can look at their plug and let me know?
What do you mean by the 4/7 pin? I wasn't aware that there was another connection in there. I thought the brake controller plug WAS for the 7-pin port on the hitch??

The 7/4 pin I was refering to was regarding where you plug the trailer in. From the picture it looks as though your dealing with something under the dash.
When I got my truck I used the factory manual which told me where all the fuses and relays are for the tow package.
Best bet if unsure is to call a local dealer and ask for a build sheet or what your vehicle was equiped with from the factory.

Follow that wire in your hand back under the dash and see if its plugged in somewhere. Maybe the previous owner left his pigtail hooked up and that's what you have in your hand. The factory connection is in the door under the steering wheel and on the right side and kinda back in there.... almost a pain to get to.

I had to pull my lower dash panel and bend the bracket some to actually get to my TBC connector. It's not in the most friendly of places. As that looks to have a non oem style sheath on it, it's probably the pigtail from a previous TBC. The other end of it probably has the 6pin that plugs in next to the little relay box.
this is the 3065-p tekonsha harness, the gray end would connect to the TBC connector on an 05-07 SD. Not a match to that connector.
