Can you get the EPA mpg estimate????

Sorry to hear about your problems Swamp. It's terrible to have problems they "can't" figure out on a new truck like yours.
Getting back to the thread, With my 12' Eco 3.55 I get about 14mpg. This driving is almost entirely in rush hour traffic so I think it is justified. When driving on the highway I can achieve the epa of 21.

I'm not even close either. If I drove it any "easier", I'd be standing still. I can't get over the 16-17 range, no matter how I drive it. I recently made a ~2 hour drive, a lot of it on the highway with a 75 MPH speed limit. At 75-80, I'm below 16. I think something is off, as I used to get 22 mpg with 7200 lb F250 at 70, and 19-20 at 75-80. This is with a highly modified 7.3L PSD. I hand calculated with the 7.3, but I'm going off the Fuel Economy display in this truck. I guess I could try hand calculating, but I don't expect much. Only mods are intake, cat-back exhaust, and SCT tunes running 93 fuel & matching tune. Performance is good, but when I drive it easy, I just don't get the economy I expected. Wish I knew how others are getting 20+, other than maybe driving 55 on interstates. LOL

It's all cruise control on the highway. I never touch the pedal and I don't speed.
I get remarkably good mileage around town considering how I drive.
Thing is my freeway mileage is about the same as around town. I kind of get the same numbers no matter what. I rarely get on the freeway but the few times a year I do I log thousands of miles in a single trip so it is solid data.

Measuring fuel economy is like outdoor grilling or shooting guns.... Every guy thinks they are good at it but really most aren't. I don't even bother calculating fuel economy if I haven't traveled at least 400-500 miles. My L-O-M seems to work on the same schedule.

Last weekend trip, in awd/4x4 high, running 70 most of the time, 3 adults and 400lb in the bed. Truck is rated at 16.0/highway. Hand calculations came out exactly the same.

I can't because my truck is not close to the same truck used by EPA to get their mileage estimate.
Mine is heavy and long, XLT Supercab with 8' box, 4x4, with 3.73 rear, 17" LT tires, HD package, and a fiberglass cap covering the bed. Plus I'm carrying about 4-500# of cargo in the bed plus an Equal-i-zer hitch head.
If I run an extended distance on country roads, and drive 55mph I can reach 19. On interstate running between 60 & 65 I'm usually in the 18 mpg range.

Out of curiosity I have checked mine a few times. I routinely drive from Louisville, KY to Cleveland, OH (grew up there, family and friends still live there). My STX does not calculate instant and trip MPG. It only does lifetime and Miles to E. The miles to E seems to operate on about a 500 mile average, constantly adjusts on the fly and is very accurate. The lifetime is hard to change. Anyway, to calculate it I fill up and get directly on the interstate and drive ~400 miles of all interstate. When i arrive in OH i fill up and do the math. With just me, light luggage, no a/c (cool time of year) I get 20.4. The terrain is fairly hilly in KY but there are a lot of very flat areas in southern OH. The exact same trip with my 3,200 lb pop-up camper gets 14.6. I usually set the cruise at 75; even with my camper. I usually don't go over 70 with the boat.

It's only showing your lifetime MPG because you don't know that you can reset it. You can reset the MPG counter as often as you like, lots of us do that when we fill up so it shows the tank MPG. Not sure which control you have for it, but you just press and hold the button you use to change the display. This is probably a stick coming out of the instrument cluster. About two seconds of pressing will reset it to 0, and a couple seconds after that will start showing fresh readings from the moment you reset it.

Looks like you missed that feature.
