Nope.

My lie-o-meter is always off by a few percent, so it actually took 28.17 gallons yielding a fuel economy of 20.3. And that's the best it's ever done. Of course I fully expected this; there's no way a truck with 3.73s and barn-door style tow mirrors will do as well as a truck with 3.31s. So I'm happy with it!

Looking good. My lifetime is 19.0 right now.

Cracks me up when some people say we can't do what we are doing.

Actually we are doing better, 21 is highway MPG. Mine is everyday commute stuff, although it is a highway heavy mix......

To average 21..... at some point you have to be getting than that.

Eh, that photo was the best my truck has ever done, and it was on a highway trip back from Ohio. My daily routine is ~80% highway and I average between 17-18. You can see my fill-up history on the Fuelly link.

Everyone also needs to keep in mind that all standard automotive electronic components have a plus or minus 10% accuracy rating.

Take a gander at your Monroney sticker:

If you preserved your window stickers, take another close look at the section that's entitled: EPA FUEL ECONOMY ESTIMATES

I don't think that Ford or the EPA has bamboozled anyone on these trucks like some are claiming.

My truck for instance was built with the base offering of gear ratios for a 4x4 ecoboost, 3.31's.

Unfortunately, instead of really doing their jobs to educate the consumer, the automaker and the EPA make the MPG's estimate a "one size fit's all".

My truck says:

City MPG Highway MPG

15 21

expected fuel range for most drivers
12-18 17-25

combined fuel economy for this vehicle
17

I think everyone here is well within the actual estimates and depending on how a particular vehicle is equipped, such as Tom's and mine, he's lower to middle range and I'm at the middle to higher range. Makes plenty of sense to me, two trucks with two different intended purposes.

You guys keep on posting them awesome MPG's, I love it!!!!!

I usually run about 16.8 mpg with my 11 Screw FX4 ecoboost with 3.73 gears.
Not as good as I'd like. But more than respectable for what it is. And I know I have all the power I need and most I want

Not quite, I think I cruised around 70 for that one. But I was running 93 octane gas for a change and I suspect that's why it was that good. I am driving to NH and back this weekend, and I will post up my gas usage tomorrow evening. I will be doing 65 and I think I will see 19-20 on the gauge.

That is awesome, I guess I need to try a tank of 93 and see what happens.

My 2011 6.7 combined average was 17.3 and my Ecoboost has average 16.7mpg. For the last 1300 miles.

I'm happy considering diesel fuel around here $3.83 gallon and regular unleaded is $3.23. Hell I'm making money.

Seeing is believing, but when it comes to these MPG figures, Consumer Reports says that they're off by at least 10%. This for all the automakers, not just FoMoCo.

2013 Escape O/A MPG was 25 - 25.5. Got a letter from Ford in December 2012, said to bring your vehicle into the dealer to have the SYNC upgrade performed.

Since then, O/A MPG: 21.5 - 22.

And btw: Prior to the Escape I had this: 2011 F150 Lariat 5.0L 2WD Stupor Crew, O/A MPG: 14.7 - 15.3.

This is the MPG I expected to get with this oversized land yacht, 231 1/2" overall length, 6,300 lbs including overfed driver and ride-all Basset Hound.

Who on Gods green earth would buy one a these pickups, then expect to achieve the EPA MPG figures? Not I and don't forget: Your mileage may vary!

So far so good...

This is what my display looked like getting off the freeway in Concord. 120 miles all interstate between 60-65 MPH depending on speed limit and traffic conditions.

Of course there was a slight tail wind.
