How do I release the inside rear view mirror from the button that is glued to the windshield? I went to get my truck out of the shed the other day and the mirror and button were laying on the floor. Before I can glue the button back on the windshield I need to get it released from the mirror. Older trucks have a set screw but this has a slot. I've tried small tools in the slot to try to depress a release inside the slot but that hasn't worked. The internet only tells how to remove the button from the windshield. Since my button came off with the mirror, that doesn't help. Thanks in advance.
