New to NV
Hi, just requested to join this group, figured I would introduce myself. I have owned an 05 F350 crew cab for a year now. Have had to do an EGR delete, replace the generator, one battery and added an SCT tuner. To pass smog here in NV, I had to put a valve back in. I also had to replace the #2 cylinder glow plug (which I learned to do thanks to this site) and am currently looking to purchase an SRL tune from Gearhead. I am not looking to sink a ton of money into this truck as it is a work vehicle and sits at an airport in ND 2 weeks out of every month. I am hoping to learn more about this troubled engine and hopefully some tricks to keep her ticking. She has 180,xxx miles and hope to put 180k more on her before she hits the grave or gets traded in. Some acquaintances urged me not to buy this truck but I couldn't pass up the deal. 9K put me in the driver seat and I have loved to hear that diesel rattle under the hood ever since.
