you probably have a 435np in it you will need to find a flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate for a 460 you will also need to adapt your engine towers (where your motor mounts go) there are a few ways to do this i can tell you if you choose to want to but it isnt that hard to do it just takes a little while to find all the parts but it is pretty straight forward swap i have done it a few times myself....... the 435np has an aluminum top to it so it is really easy to distinguish from the others but has kind of crappy gear ratios for hot rodding 1st is 6.68 to 1...... 2nd is 3.34 to 1....... 3rd is 1.66 to 1.......4th is 1 to 1 where a c6 is 1st is 2.46 to 1..... 2nd is 1.46 to 1.......3rd 1 to 1
All 1968/82 460's came with C6's. 1983: First year 460 available w/a M/T & 4WD, F250/350 only. 460 not available after 1976 in F100's, not available after 1979 in F150's, not available in 1980/82 F250/350's.
All 1983/97 F250/350 460's came w/hydraulic clutches.
Thanks guys, been busy working. Haven't picked engine up yet buying it with a good C6 attached, I'm not using the C6. As far as model # I wrote down DIVE AA {Not 6015} might be a 4 bolt main. It will be STRICKLY a cruiser . Thinking its a T18 transmission. reverse is over and down. .
