Starter replacement/ quality issue?
I am currently in the middle of a starter replacement on my 2004 F-250 5.4L After a successful removal/install as I was putting the wires back on the brand new (not reman) starter the smaller of the two wires, on the first tighten with the wrench it snapped the entire plastic housing that both posts sit on. It was obviously either a QA flaw or poor manufacturing. I am looking for suggestions on a good quality (non Malaysian made) starter. I think the one I had was a "tough made" brand? Yea it wasn't so tough. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
