Wheel Adapter Thoughts

Any of you running wheel adapters that go from 8x6.5 to 8x170mm? So you can run the newer super duty wheels?

Your guys thoughts and ideas and experiences before I do it.

Thanks
Tim

people do it all the time. loc-tite is your friend. you will increase the track width of the truck about 3", so keep that in mind. add up the ~$100 per set x2 and it makes less sense to me than just buying the right wheels in the first place.

Iron vs Aluminum would matter to me. I used forged aluminum 3/8" spacers on a car once. I would not use aluminum of any type for either spacer or adapter on a 3/4 ton or heavier truck. There is just too much pressure and load which can work and relax the joint.

If its for show and no go I don't have a problem with them but if you plan on offroading hauling or towing I wouldn't trust em
