I've given up on using a solid linkage. From the pedal arm that comes through the firewall, I have about 6 inches to go forward, and it will need to make a hard right turn, about 8" further....over the valve cover, and we're there. (Intake and carb on the 300 is on the passenger side)
I've looked at the Mr. Gasket type throttle package, $25 at AZ, but the reviews I've read are mixed...I would have to cut it down some, those look like they are about 24" in length...I only need about 12".
I was wondering if any of you experts had an opinion, experience, or better solution...
I am thinking about running a Lokar cable and bracket setup with kickdown to suit my 600 holley arrangement. Would mean I would have to buy a lokar pedal as well. Let me know what you decide. If I decide to go this way I can tell you how I got on. Cheers
Peter
I have a pedal and long lokar throttle cable that'd probably work for you. If you send me an email, I'll return send you pictures. It is a firewall mount pedal and the cable goes through a hole in the firewall. The cable and cable are in great condition.
I'm in the process of installing a late model electronic engine and trans that will use an electronic gas pedal.
I used Lokar pedal FMG-6098, Lokar throttle cable TC-1000HT36, and Lokar kickdown cabel #? on my 50 F1 with 302. pics below. I hope they help /"EDITT" the first pic is of the underside of gas pedal where the cable attaches under floor, the second is obviously of the gas and kick down cables attaching to intake
