Just signed the papers today. Got a 2014 for 42k. Take delivery in two weeks so I'll post pics when I can. Need slider recommendations! Also what air bag system is best? I want to be able to inflate tires if their is a system that does that in addition to inflating the bags. Forest River 2014 WILDWOOD HERITAGE GLEN 366BH
What do you pull with? Since you are asking about a slider I'd guess it's a short bed.
I use a 5th Airborne Sidewinder pin box on the trailer, no slider necessary on a short bed truck. Makes backing up easier also, as the pivot point is more rearward, more like a bumper pull trailer.
Yes I have a short bed. I got to thinkin...the 2013's have got to go. I told my dealer to get me in the same payment area I'm in now plus an extended warranty and I'll pick up a dually for good measure. If I only fork out $40 more each month I may as well.
Hi,
A suggestion for you, too for beefing up your suspension are StableLoads.
Airbags are great for leveling, I have them on my 2005 F-350 for hauling a 4,000 lb. camper and towing but also use the StableLoads.
The StableLoads alone or in addition to airbags help with ride, control and also add lift. They pre-activate your factory engineered suspension putting it into play the way it should work. They are an easy install and also have the quick disconnect feature when your not hauling putting your suspension back to factory specs. They are an effective, low cost way to dramatically improve drivability, many have been used on vehicles prior to adding airbags for great results. StableLoads
