Question mods for 6.0 no rules !

Let's escape for a moment and forget our tree hugging tendencies ! If one lived in a area which had no SMOG regulations "which I do" what could one do to get better mileage and power from a stock 6.0 without doing long term damage to the motor ? If this is to hot a topic for general public, where should I be asking ? vehicle is used primarily for offroad towing and pitting ! straight pipe...........? don't be shy, 2005 way past warranty imported to mexico !

EGR Deleate would be worth looking into

I just don't believe in Pumping SOOT Back into the Engine that Soot is HARD on Everything Mucks the sensors up

Gassers Burn so Clean anyway that a Little exhaust gas from the egr don't really hurt nothing

maybe he's just referring to putting in a breather ? not returning everything to the motor ?

Is the engine studded??? If so, stick a SCT tuner with some good tunes. Matt @Gearhead.

Unpopular answer coming......NOTHING! Delete the muffler and/or cat, changes the EBP reading (exhaust back pressure) thats a contributor to turbo boost calculations. Delete egr, changes IAT readings (intake air temperature), cooling fan operation.

I would run a crankcase evac system that pulls out the fumes thru the exhaust like a drag or road race engine.

Unpopular answer #2. I agree with Vloney. My 05's stock except for coolant and p.s. filter and am totally happy with it.

Hey hate to Hijack, Ive deleted my Cat on my Ex for a while now and Im wondering what exactly changes with the EBP readings? I have right now a 4" Turbo Back Billy Boat System with only their Performance Muffler.

Reason Im asking is because I've never told Matt @ Gearhead about those changes I dont think, and I had started a thread here asking about my truck not building boost properly after putting the foot to the floor and then taking it out and for the next few miles the EGT's increase and the truck drives like it has no power and wont build boost like normal. (Im swapping out the EBP Sensor tomorrow but Im wondering what sort of issues that deleting the CAT May Cause...

Thanks and sorry for the tread hijack.

PS Im all for EGR Delete, I think that without a muffler though ITS WAYYYY TOO LOUD LOL. Im not old but it gets old real quick was fun the first time I ran her without anything but was real fast replacement of the muffler LOL. Unless its purely for Off Roading, Mudding, etc. But forget hunting in comfort LOL You will scare all the game away for MILES!!

I think I would do the CCV mod with one of the oil removal
units and then put it back into the intake.
No oil and you have less gummy gunk and no oiled CAC boots.

Mods for 6.0s no rules? You mean the mods that 90% of people do? No EGR and no cat ftw
