Hello guys. I was hoping someone could help me out.
I have a 97 ford f350 4door dually / e4od.
I was trying to hook a switch up for the ebpv today but I could not get it to work.
I tried hooking it to a switch - I also tried running the wire straight to the battery. I tested with the truck running.
The bar that runs to the valve (under the turbo) never moved. I can hear a single click sound when I apply power but nothing happens.
Can someone help me out- tell me what maybe going on and things to check.
The actuator arm is moved by oil pressure in the turbo pedestal. What wires are you putting power to? Honestly, I wouldn't even worry about try to make it work. Most of us completely delete the EBPV anyway
Yes I did have to running. You can hear a slight click like something is trying to happen but thats it. What does it take to repair/replace the solenoid.
Because im not looking at a diagram..when the key is on does one wire have 5v? Or 12v?
I would guess one to have a constant supply and the pcm will ground the other to actuate the ebpv. how are you wiring it?
I sure havent heard of anyone using one with any success for any amount of time.
i hope you have a tight set if up pipes.I would think this will destroy all but the best sealed set.
