Bob @ DieselOrings.com has the OE Bosch pumps for $145 w/ free 2 day shipping. I just ordered one and changed mine, very smooth & quick transaction and easy to replace.
Any idea what the system voltage would be? The truck runs at perfect voltage.
P1210 according to the thread posted that may just come with low fuel pressure. Thanks guys I'll be getting a fuel pump soon. Hopefully it doesn't crap out on me before I can get one.
Just keep in mind that if you buy Bob's pump, it doesn't include any replacement hardware so you'll have to reuse the cover, insulation, outlet fitting and all nuts.
Strictly Diesel sells a complete OE drop in with all of the above listed parts replaced/included, but its $479 vs Bob's for $145.
It was a no-brainer for me, but all my parts were in good shape. Yours might not be.
I'm glad you mentioned that because I had no idea. If I were to spend $479 on a pump I may as well spend a little more and get an airdog. I'll be getting just the pump everything on my truck looks to be in goof shape.
Do you guys know anything about an airtex fuel pump. Knowing that info now I've got a feeling that I'm not gonna be able to make it till pay day then wait for shipping. Those are the two my local autoparts stores have.

I have been running the Airtex for 1.5 years with out a problem.
Go for it !!
I have my old pump that I took out of my truck. I took it out after I put my injectors in. I thought my fuel pressure drop was caused by the old pump. I installed the new Bosh and the pressure didn't change so the old pump is good. I need a full regulated return for these thirsty injectors. I saved it for a spair for an emergency. I believe it may be an Airtex. If your in that bad of a spot I can send you my spair pump if it will help you out. I don't know if shipping from Illinois will be quick enough to help you out or not. It may give you the time to order a Bosh if you wish. Pm me your address if you are interested. I can ship it out on Monday.
Hey boys, I have plenty of F81U-9350-AA Bosch pumps...PM me if I can be of any help. I sell them for $100 + shipping (USPS flat rate box $12.45)
If you are wanting the complete assy (F81Z-9C407-AC) I sell them for $225. + shipping.
We manufacture these for Ford (FCSD). These are OEM parts!! I don't want to bad mouth any of the aftermarket guys/parts but they are aftermarket and NOT OEM...Before we were sourced with the business back in 1997, we conducted extensive testing and Bosch came out on top in every category. That's the reason Ford went with Bosch on this application!!
BadDogKuzz, The top 5 diesel fuel pumps tested for Ford's initial sourcing consideration for the 7.3L application (1998-03 vehicles: F-Series F250 & up, Econ Van, & Excursion). Walbro, Bosch, Nippon Denso, Ford (Rawsonville Plant), & Delphi (but Delphi was dropped from the list due to some financial concerns at the time and replaced by Visteon Corp).
The "final" testing was conducted at the Ford Engineering Lab, as well as each supplier being responsible to provide their own testing data from the Engineering Specification (ES) requirements. The testing was a 28 day continuous performance test, which for simple terms was a shake, rattle & roll test under pressure, along with using a salt spray to each part to reflect harsh conditions. The salt spray is just that, water and salt sprayed to each part for the duration of the 28 day test. The testing environment included a "high-temp and low-temp" condition as well. After the first 28 day testing, then there would be another 28 day testing using the same conditons/requirements but this test was a "start-stop" test, meaning the pumps would be starting and stopping at different intervals while being under the above conditions (shake, rattle, roll--salt spay with using high and low temps). This testing was known as the "ES durability & performance test".
I haven't pull all of the test results from each potential supplier but the top 2 diesel fuel pump performers were 1) Bosch and 2) Walbro...It wasn't even close for the top spot. Bosch out performed in ALL category's and was selected/awarded the business for this application.
But in keeping apples to apples, then the Ford Program manager had to review the total package=UNIT COST...While Bosch was also at the top of this category as well, there was a "long-term" agreement made between Ford and Bosch, and the sourcing decision was made.
