So about a month ago I changed all my glow plugs and last week changed the uvch on both sides. My truck had the old style connectors and the new ones have the upgraded support where the $0.50 mod normally goes. Here is my question, now I'm getting the glow plug codes for the whole passenger side 1-3-5-7 but it starts and runs fine. Last time just dropping #2 would make the truck shake and shudder. Is there something else down the line that could trip these codes? Thanks in advance!
You must have a California truck. You may have a bad GPCM or you have a connector issue. You can look over the whole system and make sure all the connections are clean and fully engaged.
Also, a bad glowplug won't make the truck run rough.
CEL? D@mm California BS .... Truck doesn't run rough or anything. I forgot to mention there was an injector code before and that is why it wasn't running right. Fixed that with the new modified harnesses. This was the first time an entire side threw codes .... Have a volt and ohm tester just need some time to test everything.
Check Engine Light. Same as Service Engine Soon (SES) light.

Eh, one could say that. However, Ford stopped using the GPR completely and went exclusively with the GPCM starting with the 6.0L PSD.
Truck doesn't run rough or anything.
Glow plugs not working will create a hard start issue and rough chugging when the temps are really cold, but otherwise you won't experience a rough running engine like you would if the UVCH was out on one side.
Yes the CEL is on. Doesn't start any harder but I don't think it gets below 60 at night right now. Closer to winter it gets into the 30s. And no rough running either.
