I've looked all over and checked all my sources and can't find and a/c vent ducting...anyone have any ideas where to check or know where to find it? Thanks in advance
Also the rubber gasket on the two hoses coming out of the a/c unit ,it's about 1/4" thick and shaped like an M to fit around the big think inside that looks like a radiator...not the heater core the other one

They are no longer available, there are no dealers or obsolete suppliers that have any. No one reproduces them either.
Your best bet is Ebay, I see them on there fairly often.
I'll check on the gasket but I believe its going to be the same deal.
Is this for a '73? The gasket changed in late '75.

I found a 78 duct on craigslist. it is hard plastic & used a short piece of flex duct. I talked to the guy and he says the flex piece is rotted but all there. He was asking $40. If this will work for you send me a pm and I'll get it for you or talk to him and see if he'll ship. Parting out 1978 F250 4x4 XLT Pickup Truck Snow Fighter Dana 60
Would the ducting from a 78 work? I just pulled it all out of my parts truck and it's cherry! Looks like NOS except the defroster part. Maybe we could work out a deal.
A lot of it will swap '73-'79. When I installed factory AC in my '77 back in 1986, I stripped all AC stuff from a wrecked '73 at a friend's JY and a '79 crew cab at another yard before it was crushed, and I used best parts from each noting some small differences. Used '79 housings, vac pulls, and '73 heater core and '73 controls, and as I recall ..... the '79 plastic ducting but the vents from the two years were near same .... I think? I vaguely recall that even back in 1986, the '73 wire with cloth ducts were deteriorated.
Anyway .... still works, though I'ld probably trade it all for a factory firewall section to graft back in and heater parts (but I'ld still keep the ducts in the dash cutouts I guess) .....
I never use the AC in the '77 these days (though I did use it a lot in the 15 or so years after I made the swap) and it takes so much room under hood. Likely some day I'll just make it a fancy heater / vent and remove AC Compr / evap / etc.
Now that I think on it ..... gonna have to go take a look under the dash.
