EBP with a tuner?

I have a question regarding the EBP readings using a SC2 when using a custom tune (SCT) that also turns off the EGR. Should you expect the EBP reading to be higher?

KOEO, my EBP is reading 14.9.
Low idle, my EBP reading is 17.8-18.0.

From doing research prior to getting the SC2, the KOEO reading is right about where it should be. The low idle reading seems to be a little high.

3 psi for EBP at idle isn't that high. What were you expecting??

I tend to see EBP 2psi at idle using my Edge Insight.

Honestly, I wasn't really too sure what to expect. Really just trying to figure it out what 'normal' readings should be.

Info I got indicated KOEO should be 15. (I've also read where KOEO should match the BAR reading which is 14.6.) Same source as the '15', lists idle & high idle at 16.

I did previously check the EBP sensor as an easy maintenance thing a while ago. It was pretty clean. I haven't removed or cleaned the tube. I'm going to be changing out the thermostat as my truck is running pretty cool. I might as well double check the EBP sensor & actually clean the tube this time.

I'm sure it's fine. A good cleaning never hurts.

Heavy,
Appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Pulled the sensor & tube. Spent some time with parts cleaner (the good strong stuff I stocked up on before CA banned it) & some weed wacker string. I was really just going through the motions since it looked very clean. No obstructions encountered in tube. Sensor was still clean...just like last time. haha EBP reading are the same. Fine just like you said. Got a little piece of mind out of the deal.

Finished the thermostat r & r. Thermostat works correctly now. I was actually able to see the degas bottle level go down when the thermo opened when the SC2 read 191* ECT. I knew the thermo wasn't working correctly when I went over the Sunol Grade & the Altamont & only saw 180* max with ambient temps of 74*. I'm thinking with the thermo working correctly, my ECT/EOT temps will be closer now. I might even pick up a little better fuel economy as others have reported.
