pickup tailgate
i know this topic has been done to death. heres my idea shoot it down if it doesnt fly. lmc truck makes a knockoff no name gate for flareside for 200 bux it is about 4 inches wider than a econo why not cut out a section and weld it back up, or am i missing something

Somebody on another discussion board is making/selling the FORD letters to go on the tailgate. Thus you could get/build a no-name tailgate and put these letters on it, and it will look like it belongs.
You can't actually build and sell a tailgate with FORD on it without licensing it from Ford. The guy making the stickers gets away with it because he sells the stickers in the reverse order, DORF, and lets you decide if you want to run them backwards.
