Weatherstrips for the body sides, and/or the body side doors and/or the back doors? These are all different, not the same.

I need four seals they all go on the doors, the two side doors and the two back doors. They are the same. The ones that attach to the doors not the windows that swing out but seal up to the windows when they are closed. They attach to the framing of the four square windows. The guy restoring my vehicle tore them out in pieces. They were old but holding now they are in pieces. I only can find them for fixed windows. Dwayne

Nobody makes them. Tim at EconoUSAparts in KY has been trying for years to have them made. He has the seals that go on the glass, but has not had luck with the one that you need that goes against the body.

The guy hasn't a clue!

Look at the parts catalog pic I posted for the movable windows. Basic part number for the weatherstrip is 262A80

Now, look at this pic ON THE LEFT for side/back doors with non movable windows. Basic part number for the weatherstrip is: 41954

Now, look at this pic ON THE RIGHT for the complete part number which is: C2UZ-8941954-A = What does it say? WEATHERSTRIP - FIXED WINDOW GLASS

So the ONLY weatherstrip listed for 1961/67 Econoline Vans with movable windows is C1UZ-89262A80-A

I found a rubber company that'll entertain the idea of making these seals. They indicated they'll need detailed drawings to estimate the cost of milling the molds. If I can find the time in the next few weeks I'll pull off a set and spec. them out. sounds costly but over all price would likely drop the greater the quantity ordered. A lot to noodle out. If any one knows what the original rubber compounds used by Ford in those days it would be helpful so a durable product can be produced. I recently got some seals that are "OK" but almost feel like the creepy crawlers rubber from the kids toy. I hope they hold up over time. I'm guessing polyurethane but that's a total W.A.G. on my part.
If any one is interested or has any info please share.

I had a '72 econoline for several years, and they banded together to get this same thing done. It turned into a disaster and the company produced crap and kept the dies. I would be very very cautious of this. One guy, i believe, sent him OE in original boxes weatherstripping to get dimentions from and he never got them back. These were for 69-74 econolines....

Tim at EconoUSAparts in KY has been trying for years to have them made. The company he is working with has made the seals that go on the glass, but has not yet made the one that you need that goes against the body. You might contact Tim before you try another company.

I have talked with Tim and he is trying to get them made from a company but no go yet. How long who knows. I have heard the complaints of the other people getting the early 70's seals and some said they were good others said they were useless.

pop out glass seals

Thats odd' I'd have thought the body seal was easier to make than the one that fits into the steel channel of the glass frame. (i guess you could write a book about what i don't know) i never looked at the body seals from the '69 era van. The nature of body seal seems like a body seam mounted extruded neoprene seal should be able to be adapted. I'll have to look at the Steele catalog again. I'll check with Tim and see what he can tell me about the glass seals Thanks for the feed back.

took a closer look at the inside of the mounting grove on the body seal and i see it's a bit more complexe than just a grove.
still wondering what was the original rubber compound?

Is it easy to convert the pop out windows to the fixed windows. DO you use the same window and just get the fixed window seals and is it bare glass instead of the hard seal on the glass.
