Hey guys,
I'm new to the site so maybe I'm not searching correctly but I can't find what I'm looking for so here it is. I've got an 82 ford f250 4wd and I want to lift the front of the truck just a few inches. I need to replace my factory leaf springs but don't want to buy a while lift kit for new springs that pick it up. I have a set if front leaf springs from a 76 f250 highboy that are the same width but are a half inch longer from mounting bolt hole to mounting bolt hole. Does anybody know if this would work or not? I understand I would have to get axle pivot brackets and drop pitman arm.
If you truely are only going up a inch or so, you may be able to get by without brackets and the pitman arm. Most of those brackets and pitman arms commit you to at least a 4 inch lift. or a 6 inch lift.
