we replaced thermostat, hoses water pump everything but rad
rad doesn't leak had it cleaned and said no problems with it
I put a elderbrock intake on it just wondering if intake gaskets are on back words or?
You are going to have to tell us more. In both of your threads you appear to be asking for help without telling us the details. Your title on this one suggests you want to "add heating", but the words seem to indicate you have a heating problem. But there are no symptoms listed.
Please slow down and tell us what you have, what the symptoms are, under what conditions, etc. we cannot help if we don't know.
I put an hei distributor in the truck as well 4 brl holley carb with timing right on
the coolant gushes out tryin to get the air outta system by leaving cap on doesn't heat as quick as when caps on so hey thought must be cap got new rad cap as well
I shut truck down when reach's 120 degrees c
only thing making me second guess intake gaskets are screwed up

Ok, let's take this one statement at a time:
"I put an hei distributor in the truck as well 4 brl holley carb with timing right on"
You've replaced the intake manifold, so I'd guess you have a major vacuum leak as well as coolant leak. It is extremely easy to get the manifold on at a slight angle - I did it recently.
And, you've had the dizzy out and back in, so set the timing "right on". Right on to what? And, how do you know the harmonic balancer hasn't slipped? I had one that had a year ago and the marks were way off.
"the coolant gushes out tryin to get the air outta system by leaving cap on doesn't heat as quick as when caps on so hey thought must be cap got new rad cap as well"
Wow - I'm not sure what you said. But I'm going to guess that you are trying to get the air out of the system. Just pull the temp sender and fill it up until coolant runs out there. That gets most of the air out.
The cap has nothing to do with the length of time it takes to heat up.
"I shut truck down when reach's 120 degrees c " How do you know it hit 120 C? Are you using a thermometer of some type?
"only thing making me second guess intake gaskets are screwed up" I do not understand at all. Please explain.
