Oh my goodness; I'm really sorry to see that. Was that from a storm, or was the tree dead? I would say your best bet is to pull off any badges that are on it as a keepsake, then turn it in for scrap to put some cash toward your next project.
Its really not that bad to be honest. I am trying to load the pic after I cut the part off the roof. The driver side door opens the passenger side is caved a little. No glass broke until we tried to get it off the roof and it broke the windshield (that's how it rolled)
Wow, sad.
If this truck has a lot of sentimental value to you and the cab is too bad to save, you could always do a cab swap.
That's what I did on my project. Mine was gone because of rust but I have a strong sentimental attachment to the truck and want to get her back on the road.
Yep that sucks for sure. But for the time being dents are infinitely rebuildable. Mine was in sorry barely drivable shape when I got her with a smashed up front end semi blown motor etc. anything on these trucks can be fixed.
Where are you located in Texas? I think I know where there is a fairly good cab if you need it. I'm pretty sure it's rust free (can check if needed), but it does have a few dents that need fixed. It's a non-a/c cab.
Be sure and check the frame to be sure it's straight. That's a lot of weight that landed on it. Depends on how fast it came down, probably.
Storm came through yesterday morning where I live too, I was lucky everything in my yard was spared but couldn't even leave the drive way so many downed trees on the road.
