My cousins got a 2000 7.3. The truck started running rough at about 1000 to 1500rpm and would smooth out at about 2000 rpm. It idled rough and what not.
Well he had a guy look at it and the guy pulled the drivers side bank while it was running. And by bank I mean the connector that feeds the injectors. In my mind that's a big no no.
Now the truck won't start at all. All the wiring has been gone through, disconnected the batteries and drained the CPU by what I've read by turning the headlights on, positive neg together etc etc.
50 cent mod I'm assuming hasn't been done.
Any codes? By running rough what exactly are you talking about? Elaborate better
Has the oil been checked recently?
No fifty cent mod.
I do need to elaborate more. Sorry. To my understanding, the connectors were corroded that plug into the valve cover. Both sides have been changed to new connectors. They've been butt spliced together. He said there were some codes but he didn't get the codes from the guy. He said something about left bank PIN number four was reading a fault. So the mechanic told him to change the corroded connectors.
There's a good chance that when guy was messing around he might have knocked the plug loose on the inside of the vc.
If he can get us codes it would be a lot easier to narrow down what he's dealing with here. At this point everyone will be shooting in the dark and no one wants to be wrong... I reply knowing that I can be wrong. If you can get the codes I promise you you'll get a lot more responces.
