Motor Mounts
Evening all! New to Ford truck ownership myself. Just got a 76' F100 Ranger XLT blk on blk . Fair shape all things considered. Got to do a tuneup, replace brake booster, rewire for some sort of stereo and upgrade the dual exhaust(rusted quite a bit), but my problem is this....
It has the C4 tranny and a 351 W with a Holley 4bbl 600pfm carb on her. When idling and particularly when throttling a bit it has too much side ta side. Figuring by the look of em i need to change out the motor mounts as it can not be doin the driveshaft or the the exhaust any favors (1-2 inch rockin when idling/ 2+ opened up a bit). Do i use the factory 5.0/302 mounts with that engine or is there a supplemental mount for the 351w on that frame that would work better? COurse that year didn't come with a 351 so kinda stumped.
