Help Fuse issue.
The cigarette lighter stopped working on my 05 F-250 PS. I have had this problem before and, it is the #13 fuse that runs it. I am at work and wife just called stating that cigarette lighter quit working again along with my scan gauge II. Does anyone know if the scan gauge port and cigarette lighter are on the same fuse? My wife is not mechanically inclined enough to pull the #13 fuse to check it. Thanks

Thanks, I thought so and, I meant the #12 not 13. I'm actually having problems with my wifes 96 Expedition blowing the #13 fuse which operates the brake lights so I have that on my mind. Still trying to figure out why. Thanks for the info.

Other than a possible short, any ideas why this fuse keeps popping, it usually lasts for a few weeks before it does? I have my scan gauge II plugged into OBDII port and my satellite radio and or cell phone charger plugged into cigarette lighter. Does not matter which it blows with both plugged in??

I had a cell charger cord that was shorting inside the plug and caused my fuse to blow.
And the lighter isn't a very sturdy connector.
Ford recommends not plugging anything in the lighter for power.
