So I purchased a SCT programmer today that happens to be locked. I am currently wondering if there is a different avenue apart form SCT to have it unlocked? I just wanted to have options-if any out there-before I committed to the SCT route for resetting.
As much as the rip-off it is, you need the SCT software to unlock it.
I was fearing this...Reading on their website, I may have to send the programmer in; this of course conflicts with me being ready to tune as of HOURS AGO!

Thanks for the reply.
Give them a call or contact them via Email. They may be able to dial in remotely and do it, but I know they charge a fee.

I talk with a tech today, he was like, "you have to send it in, the only way to do it." $150 will be the number plus S/H. So I guess not bad. When this process is complete I would be set back $275.
Pretty crazy to unlock a programmer, shop around. All they do is plug in, hit a button, stick back in box.
Absolutely, but according to the rep, only the main place in Florida has the software. This of course was his reply after I asked him if any of the local vendors could reset for me... Oh well... not an issue. By the way; " I did save 15% on my car insurance by switching to GIECO."
