F700 engine swap

F700 engine swap
I have a 79 f700 dump truck with a locked up 429. A buddy of my bought either a 71 or 73 f600 with a good motor but we are not sure the exact size of the motor. The size doesnt matter to me im just wandering if it will bolt up to everything in my truck. Thanks for the help

A 370, 460, 512, 400, 429 and 351m (stay away from that) can bolt right up to the transmission. Or at least as far as bellhousings are concerned. If it is one of those I'm pretty sure you could also grab the engine mounts and towers and they would bolt right in.

Alright thanks i know it is a smaller motor for sure i tried reading around on the web and see it bolt up to my transmission. But i kept seeing were in 76 they quit makin the FE style engines and started putting the 385 blocks after 76. With the donor truck being either a 71 or 73 we think i been skeptical rather theyd interchange or not
