I've bought 4 gallons locally so far for $22.99/gal and sent in for the rebates, using various family member addresses.

I'm sure it's just me....
I see a Dutch company selling a product that every freekin body here loves (the mother ship, aka home office is SHELL).
After I buy T6 on sale and spend the effort to do the whole ridiculous rebate deal (that's just a comment on how I feel on rebates)....
Orrrrrr, I can go to Walmart and buy Chevron Delo 5W 40 that is virtually the same product (other than it's a better base oil) for $2 more per gallon at regular price. And my money goes to a USA company....
I just don't get it -- must be like religion or something...
There must be a stake around here you guys are about to tie me to and set ablaze...

I figure my time is worth more than driving to an O'Reillys for oil, when I am already at Walmart and have plenty of choices for dirt cheap.
I will add, I am going to hit up my local oil distributor for the new CJ4 Rotella 0W40.
That is if is doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If it does then it'll be either be T6 or Delo 5W40 for me come October.

Have you any idea how much Walmart actually pays in income tax to the US? i think most large INTL corps manage to avoid large taxes.. or at least it seems. The products nearly are all made in china, those US comp that sell to WM get so little margin they don't make much $$$ either.
Local town/county give tax incentives to steal the WM from the next town over. Then repeat with another town a couple years later.
There a great documentary on Walmart, i'd rather buy nearly anything - anywhere else.

IMO, Delo has long held a good reputation for quality diesel engine oil, hence my interest in their product. But at my WallyWorld the Delo is a buck or two cheaper per gallon than Rotella T6. That's why I was wondering if it was as good of oil as T6... Now it seems a no brainer in favor or Delo???, right?
Sorry I borrowed your thread.
Delo haters can pm me with other points of view.
Thanks for the tip Cowboy. Sending reps for the good deed. Besides, you've got a great avatar.
