Transmission e40d???
I have a ford bronco 5.8 V8 1992 Eddie Bauer edition tranny went looking for a parts truck I found a 1996 5.0 V8 how can the owner check which tranny he has I've read about the gear shifter? Would rather not have to ask him to try to find the transmission pan he is not mechanically inclined

I read a diode was moved from the shift solenoid pack in the transmission to the PSOM and I THINK, check me out, it was '95. The solenoid connectors changed also that is why the solenoid packs are year specific.
Bottom line, look for a '94 E4OD that had the warranty upgrades for your '92.
