Yeah, yeah, I know! I still have to make sure everything is going to fit right, before I get rid of anything. I'm hoping to have the cab in Epoxy in the next week or so, and then I can get the dash mocked up. I'm going to set the cab on the frame, so I can get the steering done also.
I am really enjoying the progress you are making. Makes me feel like I am neglecting mine.
I just have to hold out until November when my money comes in.
I won't have a ton of cash to spend on the truck so I will still have to pick and chose very carefully what to do. If I have not done it before the money gets here, the 3G alternator upgrade and headlight relays for sure. I would like to have enough for the press to do the rear axle bearings and seals along with the materials to sand and primer the truck. Nothing fancy, but I would like it to be one color. I was going to rattle can it, but I think I will come out better getting a spray gun and primer / sealer paint. Rattle cans have gotten expensive over the years.
I really have to figure out my fuel gauge issues also. If you send me the cluster from your old dash I will probably just get all aftermarket gauges. I would have to get an adapter plate to switch to the aftermarket sending unit. Mine is a 6 bolt and the aftermarkets are 5 bolt. I really want the cluster working so that will get done if the funds are there.
which style do you have?
The one I have is like the top right( only without all 4 gauges) in this LINK.
Also I have a factory sending unit I just purchased a month or so ago. I was only going to need to change it if I went to aftermarket fuel gauge. Different ohm outputs.
Shh....it's a secret! Actually, I do cook but if you don't want various food temperatures when served, you might want to go to Denny's. That's why Jimmy cooks!
I do love to bake desserts though & those turn out awesome!
I'm so glad it's Friday & it's supposed to be nice & warm today!
I'll be scrambling today to clean Olfthfl & Yummy for a car show & our little dune buggy for Kaedons freind. His dad bought it from Jimmy for his sons birthday tomorrow & will be picking it up late tonight after his son goes to bed.
Tomorrow, Karl & I will be participating in the SSHS Show n Shine to help support the SSHS Booster Club. Karl entered Olfthfl in the Best HighSchool Student Car/Truck Class & I entered Yummy in the Best Motorcycle Class.
Wish us luck!
Sunday, I'll be working out at TopGun Raceway for the last race of the season. As much as I'll miss everyone, I'm looking forward to taking a break from it. I haven't decided if I'm going to continue working there next season or not. Guess we'll see what happens when that time comes!
