2000 F-150 Sluggish
I have a 2000 F150 and for a while now when I drive it it will run just fine then all of a sudden say while going regular speed, it will start sputtering and it feels like its running of gas. It will get real sluggish and if I depress the clutch it will stale and then it will act normal agian. I might drive it for an hour before it does it or might be 5 min before it does it. I have replaced the fuel filter. And help will be greatly appreciated.. And as far as Gas, My Tuck has always been good on gas but since this has started it has burned alot of gas quick.....
Thank you!
It may be sticking.
Located behind the power steering as you look from the driver side fender.
It has a round cap, vacuum lines and an electrical connector attached.
Under the round cap is a sponge filter.
Use spray can cleaner inside the ports until it runs out clean. Pry the round cap off to get at the filter.
I would check the fuel pressure and replace the filter if it has not been replaces for quite some time.
These are the items that would tend to act in a 'timely' manner like you experience.
Good luck.
