HI, I'm in the process of getting my f350 licensed but it doesn't have the tyre size sticker on the door frame. In Australia we need this to get it lic.
I was wondering if anyone with a
-1987 Crew cab 4x4 f350 diesel could take a nice close up picture of their door pillar sticker if they have the same model.
My plan is to do a print out of the sticker. Any help would be appreciated .
Do you think you could make a 1986 sticker work for you? Only difference should be the digits in the year box, and the year digit in the VIN. I am assuming you will need to photoshop in your VIN to match your title and window tag. Also, I don't know how nity gritty they get, but your transmission code might need changed, mine is for a T19. My truck is F350 4x4 crew cab 6.9 which is about what you have, but one year older. If it would help you, PM me with an e-mail address where I can send a full resolution pic.
Oh yeah, and for "correctness" the sticker should be placed next to the latch on the driver door itself, since crew cabs don't have a door jam pillar to put it on.

Yeah, printing out ~my tag as-is would probably be a good way to get into trouble with the MVD down under. The VIN will not match. If they INSIST on a door sticker with the tire size on it, then Oz is pretty much going to have to fabricate one in a photo editing program and hope the local authorities "buy" it as authentic. You would think there would be a better way to prove OEM tire size specification than that, but I know zip about registering a car in Australia. Just trying to help.
Might be able to contact Ford. Like through a register or something. I know there's one for the Mustangs. And Pontiac has the Pontiac Historical Soceity. For authentication.
Well, here is the best image I could get of my door sticker. Never realized until now just how BAD the rectilinear barrel distortion is on my iPhone camera. Holy crap. That's the only camera have right now though. Again, you can straighten that out with photo editing software, but it would take some work. Hope this helps.
Wow, that's awesome guys and a big help. I will try and muck around with that pic Ford F834 and see what I can come up with. My wife is actually smarter with these things than I am.(but don't tell her that)
Racin' is the 87/88 much different to the 86 version that is posted?
