2 vin numbers on super cab camper special

I just bought a truck and got it titled. it has 2 vin numbers. the one I titled it in (title from previous owner) was riveted to the drivers side door. the other one is on the drivers side pillar. It seems like the one on the cab would be the correct one.
here are the numbers.

any any ideas of what they mean, the truck is a Ranger F350 camper special super cab with a 400 engine.
door X14SKBJ7511

pillar X35SKEJ3038

Thanks Stan

The vin number on the cab piller, below the striker bolt should be a sticker, and cannot be removed or it gets torn up. So you know that is what the cab is. The vin plate on the door could have been changed, or the door could have been changed. Is the truck 2 or 4 wheel drive? I believe for it to be an f-350 4x4 the title should start x36, x35 would be 2wd. The truck could have been pieced together, totaled and rebuilt, or stolen, either way someone has swaped around titles on it. Is that the green truck that was on ebay last week or so?

There are links to VIN decoders in the links section of my FTE webpage.

You need to take the title, truck, and former owner to see a State Trooper...

I think that might be my truck, which was listed on ebay supposedly but I never saw it there. It was also listed in the classifieds of this site. Bought it the Sunday before last. See the pic in my gallery.

The only VIN I've been able to find on my truck is on a metal tag that is screwed to the cowl under the hood. There is no VIN sticker on the door frame. There is no warrany tag to be found. I'm pretty sure the truck has been repainted. I have yet to find any VIN on the frame near the front axle on the passenger's side (I think that's where it's supposed to be).

its not your truck

I looked at your pictures, Its not your truck, its a supercab, 400 and thats what both vin's say. The truck was titled before for a very long time and it appears that its just a case of someone put on a new door somewhere along the line and things got messed up.

Yea, it looks like someone replaced the door. But you shouldn't be titled by the door number instead of the cab. I think it even says on the door tag "not for title or regestration".

On the passenger frame rail under all the rust and oil and crud the VIN # is stamped. It is on the top side of the frame rail where it start's to taper down before the cab support mount. get a wire brush and you can find the true VIN #. FORD also put a tag on the front passenger side of the bottom corner of the bed, I think it was inbetween the cab and bed side of the front of the box.

Vin# was in 4 spots.

Door,Door Jamb Sticker,Frame in 2 places.

The metal things are called Buck Tags and contain little bits of info so the line people can confirm the assembly as per the build sheet.
To the average person, that doesn't mean that much as there is only minimal info on them.
Buck Tags:
One riveted to the firewall & another wired to the bed near the frame between the cab & box.
