TW tunes: Extreme tune problem

Before I get started let me say that I do NOT think this is a problem with the tunes Tony did. I absolutely love my chip and what it has done with my truck.

Now, I have a 96 with exhaust and an intake. The truck runs strong in 5 positions on the chip. Street is very strong through the whole RPM range. But when it's in the Extreme position the truck seems to lack power over 2,000 rpms. The truck almost has power surges once it hits 2,000. It begins jumping and loses power.

Any ideas?

Do you get a cel? Sounds like maybe your hpop can't keep up to me.

Maybe just need a reburn on the extreme tune. Darin is probably right though.

Not a Cali model.

No CEL. I was thinking the same thing about the hpop. I was thinking about grabbing a 17* hpop and seeing if that made a difference.

After I change the hpop I might call Tony and see what he thinks. I just haven't called him because I don't think it's a problem with the tunes and I don't think he should have to trouble shoot my truck.

Thanks everyone for the input!

I'd think you would be throwing a cel, like a 1211 code if it couldn't keep up, but I could be wrong. If it were me, I'd call Tony.

I'd say you have a tuning issue.
With stock injectors you are not going to use any more oil and fuel in a race tune then you would in 60hp tune.
