It's a Wanderer

I just picked up a lifted 1985 F250 4x4 Extended Cab. It seems like it wants to wander and I'm always chasing the steering. I was told it had a 6 inch lift(it might be a 4") it has 35's on it. I'm not sure of the brand of lift kit but it has Rancho duals in front and singles out back. It's my first lifted TTB. I don't know where to start. IDK if the camber is off or the steering box is just worn out. Any help would be great.

If the tires are within 2" of the wheel well lip is probably 4". If you can wiggle the wheel more than 15° without the truck wiggling its probably in the box or steering system. If it responds well it could be an alignment or a tire balance or belt issue. Could also be as simple as tire pressure difference. Id check all 4 pressures first. Personally (lower in winter) i run 40-50psi in my bigger tires (35-45 for swampers). If pressures are good and steering is responsive id get an alignment.

How worn are the tires. If they are older a visual inspection could tell you alignment is out if there is a variation in tread depth or wear pattern.

First thing I would do is get under the front of the truck and check the bolts that bolt the center drop down brackets to the frame. They like to work loose on lifted trucks.
