Transmission
I have 2006 F250 diesel 4x4. While driving I heard a pop and the drive stopped propelling the vehicle. It had a load of dirt in the bed. I was able to get it to move in four wheel drive. I looked under it and the drive shaft and u joints appear to be in good shape. Any suggestions?

Empty the dirt and get it on a lift for a full drive line inspection.

If it were the transmission it wouldn't move in four wheel drive. It is either the rear axle or the transfer case.
