Truck Pull

Early last week I had a guy come to me wanting to do a truck pull with my "Powerjoke" and his turbo charged Dodge Dakota.... I bit my tongue and rejected this offer.

Im curious as to what you guys would have done.

I would have walked away too. I believe in working a truck by hauling normal loads the trucks are rated for. I do not believe in truck pulls or hooking them together and see which one can pull the other. Too much damage can occur IMHO by snatching on them like that.

Likea pull off? Like you hook your truxks togrther and have at it? Lol.. You clearrly have the weight advantage that's forsure (;

But I wouldn't thrash my truck for idiots like that. IMO you did the right thing.

Yea he wanted to hook his truck up to mine. I have a lot of advantages.

I am pretty sure my truck weighs more than his towing capacity!

I'd never hook my truck to another unless it's to pull them out if they're stuck. Like Carlton said, the potential of doing too much damage is too high in my opinion.

He should pick on somebody his own size hahaha I think he would've bit off more than he could chew if a guy irresponsible enough actually agreed to it

Yea his competition would have been a Ranger but even then Im sure the Dakota would have won because of the turbo BUT the videos I did see of this truck show pretty easy traction loss so who knows....

I wish I would have taken a pic of his truck next to mine so we all could laugh about it.

I would have hooked it up to my truck and drug his frame off the body. If something is gonna break most likely it's the thing that was built cheap. These trucks are built to last. I'm gonna get crap for it but don't forget my truck is my "toy".

I can imagine what it looked like. I have a shot of my old Sonoma parked next to the 250 in my photo album here

I blew a tranny while helping a stranded motorist. The tranny was old, weak, and due for a change-out anyway... and I was doing it for the right reasons - but I would be pretty pissed at my pride if my wallet went walking while dissing a diminutive Dakota.

And who would be the one laughing if you broke something on your truck (goes both ways)....whether you won or not.
I don't like dodge or Chevy but I would hate to see a guy break his truck over something silly like that.
