Ive decided to make a diy attempt at the hutch mod. Ive been looking at stainless tubing on amazon and it gives way to many options. I know I need 3/8 & 5/16 but it gives so many options on the wall thickness I'm not sure which one to get. If anybody knows what the thickness is on the feed and return lines in the tank it would be greatly appreciated if you let me know. I figure if I can get pretty close to what they are I should be fine
Whatever id is available should be fine. I just compared the stainless to mine, eye balled it, it looked about the same so I used it.
If you decide to be obsessive and use stainless compression fittings, I used a combination of Swageloc and Parker, but be advised that Swageloc had one compression fitting that Parker didn't have. I don't remember which one.
Tubing that size is pretty standard thickness. I got all my stuff from a local hardware store. I got the 3/8 swagelok fitting from work and had to buy the 5/16 from the hardware store and they only had brass I believe it was
