7.3 no throttle, gauges, or idiot lights
I did a lot of research on this forum before buying a 2002 super duty 10 months ago. It is an extended cab 4x4 sb with a 7.3 and auto trans. When I bought it the pdl didn't work, door ajar light stays on, auto headlights don't work, etc. from all I have read on this forum my vsm is bad. I just haven't had the time to get it to a dealer. Last week another problem developed. I turned the key and had no idiot lights or working gauges. Also, the truck will start and idle but no throttle response. I don't think the charging system is working either since now the batteries are dead. The truck is stock with an industrial air filter on it. Would the tps somehow affect the gauges or is it possible for the vsm to affect tps and gauges. I hate to have it towed to the dealer. Does anyone have any ideas. I could sure use some help on this one. Thankx

First, check all fuses (with a DMM or test lite). The blown fuse will be a clue.
