Racerguy, thanks. My codes should only be 2-16 [short flash(es) ending with long flash], right? These threads stating codes 17, 22-27, etc. are for other models or ABS systems, right? I plan to pull the codes tomorrow.
Although I plan to dare to confirm what Ford determined-a bad ECM, I found an ABS ECM at: https://www.rockauto.com/applet3.html a reman. one by Raybestos $80 something plus $30 something core. Is that worth a shot? however, I'd like to support the forum sponsors if not too pricey. Again, Ford said they'd do it for $450 plus tax on the part, I assume. I already had them order the part, and hope I can back out without any hassle.
