10 year old project

So, since I asked a few FTE folks for some help, I've got the album started. I've had this lil old f1 for 10 years now. A lil background, it hasn't been on the road since 77 when it was donated to a highschool shop class in Vernon tx. They put a camaro clip in the front end and did a **** load of craptastic bondo work. I've found it a quarter inch thick. I tore the truck apart in 08 and have built 4 engines and trans. Always had an offer I couldn't refuse. I know, SBC in a fabulous 50 ford.... got it. I'd need a whole new frame to fix that. So the truck has sat dormant till April of this year. Rough time in my life the last few years. Anyway, new outlook. Truck is gonna be a rat. Flat black. Bad *** SBC. Minimal body work. Just sanding off the bondo. I've got a ton of pics for the album, but my puter has been crashed. Uploading off the phone sucks.

Maybe this will help if ya ain't seen it yet.

Could we see some pictures? Here is how.

But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Your only a little behind schedule. I bought my 54 in 2002 and started cab corner patch panels in 2010. It's good for most of us it is important to enjoy the journey and not dream too much about the destination.

more progress, the left rear cab corner was half inch thick with bondo and fiberglass. the whole cab corner rusted to nothing but the bondo. fortunatly for me, at the local junkyard there was another cab that had excellant corners in the rear. the fronts are rusted away, and the floor pan forward of the middle of the door is gone, but the rear corners are usable. $15 and an hour later and i have a new cab corner that is complete to the rear cab mount. minimal repairs are going to be necessary, but hey, better than having to spend the LMC truck or dennis carpenter prices......if i can get the pics to upload, they are to follow

It's great to have parts for that old a rig at your local yard for sure. Ya don't have to have the parts truck in your driveway. Better get all ya can off it before it goes overseas.

its a shell of an F6, but im going to get the other cab corner. no glass, no window regulators. does have a ford script bed on it...... might cut that section out of it.... even the doors on it are more than half gone. the yard didnt even know its back in the corner. its got widow maker wheels on it that are almost completly rusted off it and the front cab corners and cowl are swiss cheese
